Graduation Day

Well I can not believe how old I am.
My little brother is graduating from high school today.
Here is a list of fun things I remember from his childhood:
  • Him dressed as Peter Pan for Halloween
  • His sweet Brontosaurus dance moves.
  • Getting hit by a car
  • his "foot leggings"
  • spray painting the house
  • the Pokemon song (I still remember most of it.)
  • Playing Knights VS. Pirates
  • Lazer tag and Air soft around the neighborhood.
  • His broken ankle
  • lots and lots of nonsense songs ("it's your own D word fault, doo do dooo do dooo...")
  • running along the canal together
  • Halo at all hours of the night.
  • Guitar and Piano before school started.
  • Squeel (and the pink sequence!!!!)
  • All the siblings sleeping in the same room on Christmas Eve.
  • the baby channel
Time just really fly's by the older you get.
Congratulations little tinkle!

Thank you class of 2009

Tuesday was not nearly as bad as it has been in the past. This was due to the students. This year I didn't have to kick people out of line for being noisy, catch any cheaters, and just deal with plain rude students. It made things run smoother and everyone was much happier than I have seen in the past!
Thank You, for being patient, realistic, and honest!
It was a very long day, and this made everything sooooo much better.

With the exception of one, as I left for the day, she was telling the principal that it was our fault that she was not going to graduate. Really? I think sometimes students forget that we are here as a service.

3 days and counting...

This school year went by so fast. I really can't believe there are only 3 days left.
I am finally seeing a change in the student attitude up until yesterday it has been one of optimism and anything is possible. (this coming from students who have more than 15 packets to complete) I can now see the distress and panic in their eyes. I have not made anyone cry yet. But that will happen soon enough...
I have seen many students finish! That is my favorite thing about working here! Seeing people accomplish something! I just hope more will get done today than yesterday.

This time of year always me reflective what am I procrastinating. Have I put off some important things? Scary questions...

Happy Aniversery to Us!!!!

Justin and I have been married for 2 years now! Ti
me has really flown by, it seems like only yesterday we were on our way to Las Vegas...

Justin and I had a very fun evening last night. Wh
en we got home we exchanged gifts. He got me Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. (which I am currently loving. It really makes me smile.) And I got him Chariots of Fire. Which I look forward to watching with him soon.

We ate dinner at Coneys! Which if you have not had their frozen custard,
you need to. It is a million times better than ice cream. We also got burgers and fries. Which for some reason I have really been craving. Oh man my chocolate custard was fantastic! I had half a glass of Dr. Pepper last night too, oh man I was jittery for about 45 min. I think I am going to keep off caffeine.

Then we went and saw Star Trek. Oh man my inner geek was so happy. The movie was very nostalgic for me.
I liked it a lot!
Also I was a little embarrassed afterwords, explaining the difference between Romulans and Vulcans to Justin, and a few other things. It made me a happy at how well I still remember things:) Also the movie really made me want to go and watch the first few OG episodes of Star Trek.
It was a great aniversery! I love you Justin!!!

Mothers Day

Sometimes I think we forget to thank all the other Mothers in our lives. The teachers friends and leaders that have all helped us to grow and learn.
Thank You!!!!
And I hope everyone had a happy Mothers Day!

Pulling Teeth

The tech guy....
I do not have a happy face right now.
So I have 5 computers that are constantly restarting themselves and 1 that has the blue screen of death. 2 weeks left of school and the things I asked to have fixed 2 months ago are still not done. And yes there are still problems from last school year...
I was told things would be done on Thursday...
And they are not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very irritated. And if he is not in here Monday morning, I will be very angry!!!

The thing that gets me is he got mad at us last year for having the other tech guys at the school do his job.
Doesn't that tell you something! It is not like we didn't try and have him fix stuff, believe me we did everything in our power!

Jane Austin and zombies

Yesterday I was at Barns and Noble looking for a book when I cam upon this:
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains."

I laughed so hard. So I am pretty sure I will be reading this one. And suggesting they get it for our school library.

Andrew and the Swine Flu

My brother e-mailed us this picture this week.
I think he was trying to scare my mom;)
He said not to worry, and things are fine where he is.
I love that kid!

The Weekend, I can almost taste it!

Oh, I really can not wait to go home today.
I am excited to see what Justin has done in the garden. When I left this morning he had mowed down the weeds where we want to place the vedge garden, and was working diligently on turning the soil.
Tomorrow he is going to SUU for their duel meet. As I have not been feeling 100% I will not be attending. I think I may just go to my parents and spend time with Emma.
I am looking forward to spending time with friends tonight. We will be playing games, sooo Justin is going to hang out with his brother. ( Justin does not like games.)

I only have to wait a few more hours...
