The Avatar

This summer we have spent a lot of time at my parents house. Me being sick, and feeling bad for Justin, we have been there quite often so he can get dinner. we have watched T.V. with my little sister a few times and have seen some pretty crappy pre-teen shows. But something caught Justin's eye, Avatar. I had seen the show a few years back and watched a few episodes with my brothers and sisters. It is also one of our nieces and nephews favorite shows.
This summer they have had an Avatar marathon. We have missed lots but have seen most of it. I am super excited, Justin got us a copy of the series so we can watch it from beginning to end! I am pretty excited! If you have not seen it don't let the fact that it is on Nickelodeon turn you off to it. Don't worry it is no Sponge Bob, Fairly Odd Parents, or iCarly. (blah, I hate that last show!)
So, if it is on and your kids are watching it, take a moment and watch to. You may enjoy it.
Also there is a movie coming out! The trailer has me a little excited. I just hope they keep the playfulness of the T.V. show. Justin hopes they cast someone super hot as Katara ;)

In trouble

I may be in trouble this weekend when my mom gets homes. Justin and I are house sitting for my family while they go on vacation. Well, Justin and I always do a lot of talking about how we would decorate and what we would do differently when we visit places. ( we don't mean to offend anyone. It is just something we really like doing together.) Well we got talking on Friday night about my parents front room and how we could open the space up and make it more inviting. Well Justin got this gleam in his eye... So we immediately began to move things around. Tonight we will finish the front room project. I think that my mom and dad will really like how it looks. We moved pretty much everything we could. (we even though about moving the piano.) I think that is the only big project we are going to do. We shall see...

As a high school student would you have ever turned in an assignment without your name on it?
No, right? You knew you would not get any credit if your name was not on your paper.

Why is it so hard for the students to put their names on things...

Mosquitoes ...

I am not happy. I NEVER get bit by Mosquitoes. And in the last few weeks I have been bitten 5 times! The last time I remember getting bitten was at Utah lake like 6 years ago!!!!
It is the most annoying thing on earth! Now I know how everyone else feels about those bugs...

Terrible Termites, and Other News

So, Friday afternoon Justin and I decided it was time to clean out our back room and get it ready for our guests this summer. We took out my work desk and were planning on moving the book shelf over to make room for Air Mattresses and Luggage. Upon moving the bookshelf Justin noticed that part of the base board had crumbled off. Then when he looked at the backing board of our book shelf was also falling apart. Upon a little closer inspection we found that 85% of the base boards had bubbled and were soft to the touch!!! Gross! So we decided to quickly move almost everything out of the room. Because we knew there would be spraying and some construction work needed. We contacted our landlord. I guess about 5 years ago there was some termite damage to that room. They had called in some professionals to take care of the problem, and there had not been any trouble since. Our landlord wants to try and take care of the problem himself. He thinks he can spray with malathion and remove the base boards and be fine. The problem Justin and I see is that the kind of termites that we have live outside and venture inside to eat. We also think they have been living inside of the old rotting bushes in our yard. My parents were very nice and let us stay at their house while he sprays.

And the reason why we are spending time at my parents when he sprays is because I am pregnant! This also explains why I have missed parties and have not been my lively and creative self (which Justin will attest to). I hate morning sickness! I mostly am through the sick part, I still get nauseated everyday, but it is usually not to bad. I just can not think about food, or look in a refrigerator for too long without getting sick. Yesterday was fun, Justin and I got to see what our baby looks like! Yippie! It was pretty cool, and made things more real than me just feeling crappy and gaining weight. My due date is December 4th! I can not believe how quickly it is coming!!!!!!

Restart

My computer is trying to restart itself for some updates.
Restarting is not an option for me. It takes at least 5 min. to turn off then another 5 to get booted back up. By the time I have everything ready to go I will have a line of students.

Also, apparently restart later means try to restart again in 15 min.

I swear this computer is soo sneaky!
