Run Home

So Tuesday I decided I would finaly walk to work. I woke up early and left the house around 7:15. The walk to school was so nice. The sunrise was beautyful and I felt really good. Then I changed and left for home. Ya running with a backpack on stinks. I made it home 20 min. fatser than it took for me to walk. I was pretty happy with that. I also Killed my right knee. I was soooooooo pooped. I really couldn't do anything. Yesterday I struggled to wake up. And my leggs were so stiff. I was ready to sleep last night when I got home at 5:00. Today I am feeling more awake and ready to try it again next Monday. I have a plan so I will not have to wear the back pack running home.

Scary Movies

Most of you who know me know that I am a chicken.
For some odd reason I have a soft spot in my heart for Scary Movies, really it is mostly it's the special effects in them, I don't really enjoy watching them at all.
I do not watch Horror Movies. YUCK!
Anyways today to get in the Halloween spirit I changed the backgrounds on the computers at work to some famous moments from scary movies.
Here is a list if them:

  • The Shining (the scary part where Jack is coming through the door!) The only other one I would like to see is the Shining. Why I don't know, I read the screen play online and I have wanted to see it ever since.
  • Jaws (the movie poster) The only one I have seen all the way through is Jaws. (I went though a Jaws thing a few years ago. Yes I have seen them all. The first one is good. The 3D one is crap. And the rest are OK, mostly bloody horror type stuff.)
  • The terminator (the shiny skeletal machines) Machines taking over and killing everyone. Not interested, I am still having nightmares from seeing the preview when I was young.
  • A pumpkin, because I like them.
  • Poltergeist (the little girl in front of the T.V.) I used to want to see this movie. Then we watched part of it at Jude and Eliza's: I just thought it would be cooler.
  • Blair which Project (the close up of the girl with a flashlight) I wasn't interested in high school, and I am still not interested.
  • The grudge (the scary blue girl) yeah it looked scary to me, until people kept telling me it was better than the ring. I didn't like the Ring at all, I found the story lacking and it just didn't make sense, so why should I be scared? And why should I see a movie that is like it?
  • Night of the living dead (1950's) (walking Zombies) I could see this one, the blood and guts factor may be lower than other zombie movies. (Old scary movies can be fun. Ha, like I saw the original Blob. Oh my gosh so stupid / funny.) But thanks to Thriller, & World War Z, I have a bit of a fear of Zombies. (I did love Shawn of the Dead though...) I just need to get myself a Kevlar suit that they can't bite through, and I will feel more secure.
  • Happy 2 days before Halloween everybody!

Halloween

So Halloween is in a few days! Have you decided what you will dress up as?
I am going to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I am super excited!

New Pod

So for my birthday Last week my parents gave me an i Pod touch. I was in shock for a few days... (still am a little)
But Now That I am learning to use it, WOW, I am in love with it, I calendar everything and I can go online! Love It! I can see why so many people love the i Phone.
I had a great UEA weekend. Justin and I relaxed and cleaned the house then we went to my parents for Emma's birthday. Justin took photo's for his class and I hung out and helped around the house. On Monday I Crafted all Day. Time Flies when you have fun! I made some pretty amazing cards. I will upload pictures soon :) I also read World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. I really enjoyed it. The book really made me feel introspective and think about how I would react to things etc... I also did not expect it to have a very interesting societal comment.I would not recommend it to the faint of heart because it is a zombie book and there is blood guts and goore.
Justin gets to pick a major this week. I think he may choose psychology. But he was still unsure.
Sorry if the update is a bit spazzy blame it on the paint fumes, they painted a wall in my room this morning

Haunted Mansion

So when I was young The Haunted Mansion was one of the rides that FREAKED me out (not to mention Pinocchio, Snow White, Mr. Toad, Pirates of the Caribbean). I would ride it with my eyes shut in between my mom and Eliza.
Now it is one of my favorite rides ever! Check out doombuggies.com if you love this ride. they have everything you could ever imagine about it; a history, images and a few ghost stories of their own. Also they have some pretty fun desktop backgrounds perfect for the season.
I love Halloween!!!!!!

Struwwelpeter

When Eliza and I were young our neighbor had this German children's book called Struwwelpeter. The book was in German, so we couldn't read it but the pictures were very funny: we would take turns making up what the stories were about. Yesterday I was thinking about this book, so I did some interneting and I found it. In English! I am so happy. I also found a site with the whole book. (And our translation of the stories was pretty good I must say.) I really like the illustrations and each of the poems has a moral to it. I am going to buy this one for my family:)
Please check it out, it will make you happy.
