Deodorizing Expectations

I have never been satisfied with any deodorant I have ever used. I have even tried the organic crystals. (I wanted to stop using anti perspirents, alas I could not stand smelling after 2 hours.)
I am wary of the clinical strength ones, has anyone tried them?
I have been a Degree Girl for a long time now that seems to be what works best for me. I was super sad when they created the women's line for Degree because the other stuff worked sooo good. I am happy with my wetness protection, but it is the smell. I feel like after 4 hours of use it stops working.
I am so unsatisfied that I am thinking about trying Justin deodorant out.
What I am looking for is a deodorant that lasts more than 5 hours, like 7 or 8. Good wetness protection, and a pleasant smell.
Am I expecting to much from this product?

The Invisible shoe

Many of you who know me know that I usually wear flip flops. Even in the winter. Justin has been doing research recently on barefoot running. My brother got a pair of the Vibram 5 finger shoes. Which I really liked the concept of, but Justin can't wear them (webbed toes), and they are a bit pricy. So we started looking at other options. There are a few,The vivo by Terra Plana, which Justin got to run track practice in. (Also, Terra Planna has some super cute women's shoes!) Nike has some and there are many others.
We also found the Invisible shoe. I have wanted to make my own scandals for a while now, and this was a great option for me.
Here are the top 5 reasons why I like mine:
1. I like to be bare foot, this is the closest I can get to it.
2. I can run in them. i think that it is the coolest thing ever.
3. I get to make them myself.
4. I can change the look of the shoe by changing how I tie it.
5. The price
I had problems with them at first, mostly they were tight around my heals and irritated the top of my foot and they slid forward. But all these problems are fixable with a little practice tying them and just plain experience from wearing them. Anyways check them out. They are super cool and will last a really long time. They have improved my running form and they are supposed to help with joint pain and be better for you all around.

Orchids, I love them

So many of you know that Justin and I have started an Orchid collection. It is very addicting. Luckly for us there is only one place in Utah that sells orchids. It is called Orchid Dynasty. it is on 9th in Salt Lake. I really love going there. The owners are super informed and always are willing to answer questions and give great suggestions. The flower arrangements are also beautiful. It is super hard to not buy one of everything that we don't have. The last time we were there We spent 30 min. trying to figure out if we had room to buy 2 more orchids. We found it :) but really we don't have any more room. Next time you are in P.G. stop buy and we will show you our little tropical haven.

Hoggle Zoo!

As a family we went to the Hoggle Zoo. It was a blast we got free tickets and saw almost everything.
Felix enjoyed riding the carousel.
He enjoyed seeing the birds.
Altogether we weighed as much as a baby elephant. Also, the baby elephant was super cute.
This little monkey came right over to us! He got super excited and started bouncing and kicking his baby legs.

Fourth of July picture update!

These are the sparkler pops I made for the 4th. Super easy: melt chocolate, pour a little onto wax paper, add stick and sprinkles, wait for chocolate to set. I had a hard time with the milk chocolate setting, so I just froze those ones.
(Also, don't use olive oil. It will give your chocolate an off flavor)
Sparklers!
I love sparkler pictures. I with I had taken more this year.

The Finale of Cul De Sac of Fire 2010.

The best part of The 4th of July for me was hanging out with all my family.
Yeah family!!!!

Vacation Fun!

We spent 5 days in Anaheim with my family. I had a lot of fun. Felix enjoyed watching all the kids and the bright colors and music.

We also spent a week in Hollister with the Tungates. Felix really enjoyed all the attention from his cousins.
Felix tried licking the pole every time we rode the carousel.
So cute! unfortunately when I tried to upload my pictures they all got deleted. I was sad. but thankfully everyone else took pictures!

Grandma and Grandpa Tungate with the Grandchildren. They really had a houseful that week. More pictures from our trip to come!
